Our first commission in Madeira, The Cliff Bay is a luxurious 5 star hotel situated on a cliff top overlooking Funchal with 200 rooms and suites, three restaurants including the Michelin starred “Il Gallo d’Oro”, four bars, health spa, beauty centre, gymnasium, indoor and two outdoor pools.
The photographs are quite recent and since the hotel was opened in 1994 it has been continuously refurbished with new carpets, fabrics and objet d’art by Arq Paula Bianchi. JWA and Paula have enjoyed a collaboration dating back to this project and most recently worked together on the new Navigator Lounge at The Cliff Bay Hotel.
